I am Andrés Saá. Close to twenty years as a Senior Engineer, Solution Architect, Tech Lead, CTO and Founder, which is a long way of saying I have argued both sides of most scope discussions.

What I actually work on

Product, architecture, systems, full stack and integration, usually at the same time. I stay close to the code: TypeScript and Node.js, React and Vue, PostgreSQL, Redis, HTTP APIs, queues and asynchronous processes, and the integration work that holds those pieces together.

The value is rarely in the typing. It is in working out what someone wants to achieve, looking at the options, naming the risks, and deciding what is worth building at all. I work as a technical partner rather than an executor who takes a requirement without discussing it. When part of a plan does not hold up, saying so early is the cheap version of that conversation.

Where AI fits

The AI-native part of my work is recent compared with the systems part, and I would rather say that than round it up. I use these tools daily and I am interested in where they change the shape of a system instead of the shape of a demo. I am not going to tell you they change everything. Treat any claim about that, mine included, as something to test.

The practical part

I work from Spain, mostly with companies elsewhere. My professional English is B2/C1, and part of it was learned in Charlotte, North Carolina. I run long distances, which is where a fair amount of architecture gets decided and where most of it gets discarded.
